Island’s Red Sands South Shore Tour - 4 hrs.

Traveling along the Trans Canada Highway from Charlottetown, you’ll instantly feel the warmth of the Island South Shore. It’s measured in sand - red sand! You’ll experience bays and inlets as well as wonderful views of the Northumberland Strait, the body of water that separates the Island from the mainland.  We will stop at Victoria-by- the-Sea, a historic southerly port established in 1819. Located halfway between Charlottetown and Summerside, its sheltered harbour and strategic location helped it become a thriving seaport with significant trade in the 1800’s. The soul of this storybook village has been revitalized by an array of artist and crafts people.   Heading west to Carleton PEI, you’ll get an unparalleled view of the Confederation Bridge, an engineering marvel. Spanning 12.9 kilometers, it is the longest bridge over ice covered waters on earth. I’ll then get you up close and personal to it with a tour through Gateway Village. We’ll return to Charlottetown through a patchwork of island coloured green fields, red Island soil and the ever present blue waters as they  gently wash the shorelines.
